Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using this website and enrolling in training services provided by mesa-hawk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this website or our services.
Service Description
mesa-hawk provides professional system administration training through instructor-led courses, lab environments, and educational materials. Our services include online course content, practical exercises, instructor support, and access to learning resources.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the service without liability.
Enrollment and Payment
Enrollment in courses requires submission of accurate personal and payment information. Course fees must be paid in full before access to materials and lab environments is granted, unless alternative payment arrangements have been explicitly agreed in writing.
All fees are stated in British pounds and are subject to applicable taxes. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect enrollments already completed.
Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing. Students may request a full refund if they withdraw before the second scheduled course session. After the second session, refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remaining unused portion of the course, minus an administrative fee of twenty percent.
No refunds are provided for courses more than fifty percent complete. Access to lab environments and course materials terminates upon refund processing.
We reserve the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, enrolled students receive a full refund or may transfer to an alternative course date at no additional cost.
Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
- Provide accurate enrollment information
- Maintain confidentiality of account credentials
- Use lab environments and materials only for educational purposes
- Respect intellectual property rights in course materials
- Conduct themselves professionally in interactions with instructors and other students
- Complete assignments and exercises within specified timeframes
Students must not share account credentials, redistribute course materials, or use lab environments for purposes unrelated to coursework.
Acceptable Use of Lab Environments
Lab environments are provided for educational purposes only. Prohibited activities include:
- Attempting to access systems or data beyond assigned lab resources
- Conducting any form of network scanning or penetration testing outside approved exercises
- Mining cryptocurrency or running computationally intensive processes unrelated to coursework
- Hosting unauthorized services or applications
- Storing personal data or confidential information
- Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
Violation of acceptable use policies may result in immediate suspension of lab access and termination of enrollment without refund.
Intellectual Property
All course materials, including text, graphics, video content, code examples, and lab configurations, are the intellectual property of mesa-hawk or our licensors. These materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Enrolled students receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials for personal educational purposes. This license terminates upon course completion or enrollment termination.
Students may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from course materials without explicit written permission. Violation of these terms may result in legal action.
Work Created by Students
Students retain ownership of original work they create during courses, such as scripts, configurations, and documentation. However, students grant mesa-hawk a non-exclusive license to use anonymized examples of student work for educational purposes in future courses.
